Shades of Green is proud to release “Quiet Moments”, a celebration of the sweet things in life:.good friends, loving family and, well, quiet moments.
Built off another set of beautiful poems by Pat and his father, Scot didn’t have to look far for musical inspiration. Looking to classic music of the 50s, with a new spin, the band has turned out another captivating song. Inspired playing by our little band of misfits. We’d also like to thank our friend Coleen Colon for her stellar backup vocals, once again, as well as Lois Herbine for her flute contribution.

Lyrics
You may think I’m a lunatic
but I like to hear the clock tick.
Technology has gone berserk, you see —
computers, video games, and Hi-Def T.V.
If I want to watch reality, I’ll hang a mirror and just watch me!
Quiet moments….Peace of mind, thoughts are so kind.
A place of places, intertwined……Quiet moments.
I hope the power is out tonight
and I see my wife in candlelight.
I hope it’s out tomorrow too.
Maybe I’ll take the kids to the zoo.
Quiet moments….. a calmness at a time of need.
Escape from society’s seed…..Quiet moments.
I really have all I need.
Maybe I’ll pick up a book and read.
Or write a letter to an old friend
just to remind him friends don’t end.
You may think I’m a lunatic
but I like to hear the clock tick.
Quiet moments…..
